Dext

A service you photograph receipts and bills into, which reads them and passes the data to your accounting software.

Listed, not reviewedIt is in the directory. Nobody here has assessed it yet.No setup help needed

Nobody has checked this listing against the vendor on a given date. What it says about the tool is believed accurate and describes what the tool is sold to do, but no price, feature or policy below has been confirmed by an editor. Anything marked not checked is exactly that. What we have and have not checked.

What it is good at

Stands out for

Reading crumpled till receipts is the hard part of this job, and it is what this is specialised for.
Your accountant has probably already seen it, which shortens a lot of conversations.

Where it falls down

No free tier, so there is a cost before you know whether it reads your receipts well.
It is a feeder into accounting software. On its own it is not your books.

Jobs it is a candidate for

Turn a pile of receipts into something my accountant can useBuilt for this
Built for this one job, and the one accountants most often ask their clients to use.
