Canva
A design tool built around templates, with image generation, background removal and simple video editing built in.
Nobody has checked this listing against the vendor on a given date. What it says about the tool is believed accurate and describes what the tool is sold to do, but no price, feature or policy below has been confirmed by an editor. Anything marked not checked is exactly that. What we have and have not checked.
What it is good at
Stands out for
- The most likely of anything in this directory to produce something usable on the first attempt.
- Brand kits keep ten posts looking like one business.
Where it falls down
- Template-shaped results. Your flyer will look like other people's flyers.
- Check the commercial licence on the plan you are actually on, especially for generated images.
Jobs it is a candidate for
- Make decent pictures for my businessBuilt for this
Templates mean you start from something that already looks right, which is why non-designers finish here.
- Keep my social media going without it eating my weekDoes this well
Design and schedule in the same place, which removes a step.
- Turn what I've already got into a videoDoes this well
Fine for short social video. Not the tool for editing an hour of footage.
